SHORTISTED APPLICANTS FOR BUSINESS PLAN INNOVATION CHALLENGE
Tanzania Digital Innovation Youth Empowerment Programme (TADIYE) is an innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem development initiative, designed to inspire and promote technology-based young start up entrepreneurs in Tanzania. The project is funded by the Royal Danish Embassy in Tanzania and implemented through Dar Teknohama Business Incubator (DTBi) in collaboration with two other key partners; Magilatech Company Limited and Institute for Management and Entrepreneurship Development (IMED).
The project objective is to address youth (including marginalized young women) unemployment challenges by equipping them with business, entrepreneurship and digital literacy and skills that will enable them to take advantage of opportunities offered in a digital economy to generate wealth, create jobs and increase the number of sustainable enterprises.
TADIYE programs launched the challenge on 2nd of April 2019 by issuing a public advertisement through local newspapers, TADIYE Website and TADIYE social media i.e. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and through Business Entrepreneurship skills platform (BESP). The applicants were provided with 21 working days (2nd April up to 23rd April 2019) for submission of their application.
At the closing date, a total of 873 applications were received application BESP portal, which is a special system that was developed for receiving applications. On the other hand, more than 1,800 applications were not submitted successful since they did not meet the criteria set including completion of at least 5 modules out of the 8 modules of the BESP
TADIYE program successfully reviewed all received applications basing on the criteria set and below are the business ideas/ projects applicants who have been successful shortlisted for 3 days face to face training (from Wednesday, 12th June 2019 to Friday, 15th June 2019 that will be conducted in Dar es salaam.
